MIchelle on working with Arts & Entertainment Clients:

Entertainment services and artists must go above and beyond the call of duty to reach their public. Promoting a continually-updated list of events, lessons, and services, those in the arts & entertainment industry often try harder than the corporate world to reach such a diverse group of people.
Upbeat and dedicated communication is the basis for my public relations approach in this sector--reaching out to a wide range of community members in an intimate approach. Arts and entertainment groups don't just want clients, but lifetime supporters and patrons of their art form or publication.

Kanalya Pictures:
Natasa Prosenc' film "Souvenir"

One of the most effective ways to reach a wide audience is through the writing and submission of articulate and riveting press releases. I utilized captivating imagery painted in words to engage the readers in this press release--appealing to the general public and film connoisseurs alike.
All important information pertaining to the film's show times was clearly noted, streamlining the process by which the community could attend the film festival. Straightforward and interesting, the press release was designed to not only give relevant information concerning the film and it's showing, but grab the interest and attention of the viewer.

MIchelle on working with Non-Profit Sector Clients:

Nonprofit organizations must gain their public support from many angles-- strong benefactors, local supporters, loyal press, compassionate business owners, and even dedicated activists for their cause.
Nonprofits do not just promote a product or service, but an idea. This idea must be presented in a way that appeals to all these diverse groups--building lasting relationships that secure the future of your organization and its cause. Press releases, benefits, and community outreach programs are just the beginning. Why not try for government grants? Proposing bills or an addition to next year's ballot? Your options are limitless is you begin with a strong public relations plan.

Labrador Rescuers "Lab Amore"
Silent Auction Event Seeks Donation Items

The largest fundraiser of the year, "Lab Amore" was Labrador Rescuers' chance to not only cover the cost of medical bills for hundreds of labs, but get enough to double the number of dogs saved in the next year.

For Labrador Rescuers, I tugged on the heartstrings of every family and pet-lover in San Diego County. Episodic imagery describing the plight of these dogs set the tone for the readers. We followed the emotional journey of abandoned, ailing puppies that become healthy and loved family members after their rescue and rehabilitation with Labrador Rescuers.
Captivated by the moving stories, I then proceeded to describe the fun and exciting "Lab Amore" auction--incredible auction items, delicious food, and star entertainment to round out an evening to remember. On top of it all, all proceeds go to help the beautiful and thankful labs rescued by the organization

MIchelle on working with Corporate Clients:

Communication may be ultimate decision-maker in determining a company's success. The walls of big business and corporate power seem infallible to the casual consumer-- this intimidation may drive away the most loyal of clients. Therefore, companies must reach out to their clients in new and innovative ways in order to break down these barriers yet still maintaining a strong public appearance.
My goal is to cultivate positive and strong relationships with your current and potential clients through personalization and a solid public image. These individuals comprise an intricate ecosystem of values and interests--and we must illustrate to all of them the rewards for choosing your company.

Valley View Casino: Munster Money Ad

Flexibility is key when marketing special promotions. Valley View Casino needed to advertise an all-new campaign with a clever twist. Utilizing Halloween-themed color schemes, clever fonts, and the use of key words that appeal to regular and new casino customers, the Munster Money ad was a success. The trick is highlighting the new and improved while keeping the tried-and-true as the base when starting a new promotions campaign.
