To add a creative spark to my writing, I've enrolled in a creative writing course.

Surprisingly, learning the nuts and bolts of poetry and fiction writing has
greatly influenced by journalism and web writing.

Being a musician for as long as I can remember, it seemed fitting to pick up yet another instrument for study and pleasure.

The object of my musical interest during collage, I decided to study guitar once more and give it the time and energy it deserves. Lessons have been going well, as I mix up learning flamenco, classical, and the typical alternative, grunge, and classic rock. It's been quite the source of relaxation recently, as I have taken on more projects in my professional career.

I love cooking. My massive collection of cookbooks is proof of this very domestic pastime. Vegan cooking is fabulous--truly urges one to create amazingly decadent and delicious dishes with only the finest ingredients.

If searching for a quick recipe, I consult www.goveg.com, but I typically resort to a handful of cookbook favorites: Simply Vegan, 1001 Vegetarian Recipes, and Dr. Neal Barnard's Food For Life.

Watch out, San Diego drivers: I'm hitting the road--on foot. I've revved up my running schedule in an attempt to increase fitness, energy, and hopefully one day enter a marathon.

Luckily, my home community has a number of safe areas to run--parks, nature preserves, and quiet residential areas. Plus I have a gym membership. I'm starting small, but hope to increase my mileage after the holidays.
